A simple blog is included in this plan with some basic functionality for adding posts and articles. A simple blog editor is included in this plan which you can use to upload posts. We do not manage the posts for you.

Pretty much anything related to the site. If you need a change to a section, text added or a featured added we can use that time for it. We want to provide you with the best performing, secure and consistently styled website. Additionally, once final handover is complete, if you want a new page we can use this time for that or charge the advertised fixed price for a page ($100), whatever is cheaper for you.

We will let you know when we are getting close to the 5 hour limit and when we reach it. After that any additional hours will be charged at our standard hourly rate or you can push the work to the next month if it is not required immediately.

Yes, this plan includes hosting and backups.

Our CMS/Editor (Directus) gives you control over most text, images and content blocks, but with restrictions. This is not a typical editor like on SaaS website builders like Squarespace or Wix, which offer a greater freedom of control. We do it this way because it helps us provide a better performing and consistent site. While website builders can produce well performing sites, the majority of the time in our experience this is not the case. Slow loading sites lead to abandoned customers and lost revenue, so we want to produce the fastest sites for our customers. If you want the gauranteed best performing plan, check out our "Handled" plan where we make all changes.

WordPress powers many sites on the internet and while WordPress sites can be built with very good performance and security, our experience is that most are not. Even if they are built well, they often soon become bloated and slow. Additionally, plugins need to be updated to retain compatibility and more importantly security, which is becoming increasingly a more widespread issue with breaches and hacks growing globally. We use static sites built with plain HTML and CSS, with Directus acting as the CMS/editor for this plan. The advantage of this setup is that we can offer a better performing, more secure site with better support at what we think is a reasonable cost.

That is perfectly fine. You do not have to host the site with us and pay the monthly hosting/backup fee. However, if you host the site yourself we are not responsible for any backups of the site ongoing (we will still retain the original site/project files however).
